TweezerComm Israel
The Ashrait Service is a payment service designed explicitly for performing Ashrait EMV transactions in Israel. The service uses the AshraitEMV Application (AEA), which acts as the server in the TweezerComm protocol. The AEA can be run on a stand-alone payment terminal or a central server. Client applications, such as a Cash Register or Gateway, connect to the AEA to process transactions.
Once the AEA successfully approves a transaction, it is recorded in the AEA's database. At the end of a business day, the AEA transmits these transactions to the ABS (SHVA) server in a process known as "batching." The batch process must be initiated by the client application, typically when a day or shift is closed at the ECR/POS. The acquirers then pay the merchant as a result of this process.
To be ready for transactions, the AEA must first complete an "establishment" process. During this process, the AEA downloads merchant-specific parameters from SHVA, which guide the handling of each transaction.
